I’m proud to say that I’ve been part of the Melbourne Silver Mine’s annual analogue photographic exhibition, UNSENSORED, for the second year running. Although the exhibition has been and gone already, it has been a great success as far as promoting the unique and defining aspects of film photography - as well as showcasing the talents of many (mostly) local photographers. Last year’s inaugural exhibition held at Kerala Gallery was a great success with 12 photographers exhibiting their work. Opening Night saw about 200 people gathering to celebrate.
This year, UNSENSORED08, held at Collingwood Gallery, was even bigger with 30 photographers and over 40 works on display. Opening Night managed around 300 people on a very wet and cold day. Many works were sold, including my entry The Space Time Continuum – sold to a lucky buyer after the show.
A book of this year’s show is available to purchase. It contains some extra works that weren’t featured in the exhibition. Stay tuned for a download link when it becomes available.
